Contract: Permanent – 39hrs per week, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
- Support the Facilities Maintenance Team and work alongside experienced colleagues across disciplines such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, cleaning and administration.
- Maintain and troubleshoot building fabric and facilities, ensuring a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.
- Use hand and power tools, follow health and safety requirements, and collaborate with the team to keep the prison functioning smoothly.
Qualifications
- Experience of working in a prison environment (desirable)
- Experience of using hand and power tools
- Previous experience of working within a building fabric / Hard FM environment
- Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Good Health
