Location: HMP Winchester, Romsey Rd, Winchester, SO22 5DF

Salary: £26,575.65 per annum

Contract: Permanent – 39hrs per week, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

  • Support the Facilities Maintenance Team and work alongside experienced colleagues across disciplines such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, cleaning and administration.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot building fabric and facilities, ensuring a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.
  • Use hand and power tools, follow health and safety requirements, and collaborate with the team to keep the prison functioning smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a prison environment (desirable)
  • Experience of using hand and power tools
  • Previous experience of working within a building fabric / Hard FM environment
  • Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
  • Good Health
