We are seeking a dedicated Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW to join our team at HMP The Mount, a category C facility. The Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to driving smooth and safe operation. Everything we do impacts every prisoner, employee, visitor, and the wider families and community.
As an Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for an Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW with any combination of:
- Two years' experience working in a role as a steam boiler operator or equivalent
- Must be familiar with and able to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Must be familiar with and able to work to BG01 - safe operation of boilers
- Experience working on commercial or industrial steam, heating and water systems
- Plumber qualified to C
