About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Electrician (Level 2) to join our team at HMP Swaleside, a Category B men's prison. As part of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will contribute to the safe and smooth operation of the facility, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
Team Environment
Join a team that works together from Monday to Sunday, fostering a supportive environment. Collaborate with experienced colleagues including plumbers, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators, all committed to creating a safe and secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out electrical maintenance and repairs as a qualified tradesperson.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining electrical systems to ensure ongoing safety and functionality.
Candidate Requirements
- Fully qualified electrical tradesperson with NVQ level 2 in Electrotechnical services or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
