Overview
Job Role: Electrician
Location: HM Prison Erlestoke, Erlestoke House, Erlestoke, Devizes SN10 5TU
Salary: Β£40,579.20 per annum (includes Β£1k RRA), plus overtime payments after 6 months
Contract: Permanent, Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
Holidays: 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays. A range of non-contractual benefits are provided, including Death in Service at 4x salary, access to private GP consultations, an Employee Assistance Programme for counselling and preventative care, and retailer discounts.
We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Erlestoke, a category C adult male prison.

Responsibilities
Support the Facilities Maintenance Team to maintain safe and reliable electrical systems within a prison environment. Collaborate with trades to ensure timely and compliant maintenance and repair works. Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the facility.
Qualifications
- Two yearsβ experience working in a role as an electrician
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
- Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
- Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
- Certificate in BS7671 2018 (18th edition)
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
