We are seeking a dedicated Carpenter inc Locksmith to join our team at HMP Woodhill, a high-security adult male prison.
Join a team that works Monday-Sunday as a supportive and driven family, aiming to create a safe and nurturing environment.
HMP Woodhill functions like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of staff to operate smoothly. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your work impacts prisoners, staff, visitors, families, and the wider community.
You will work alongside experienced colleagues including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators, all committed to providing a safe and secure environment.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS, seeking a Carpenter inc Locksmith with:
- Substantiated experience in a similar role
- Competency with power tools and machinery
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office Excel and Word)
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Up-to-date First Aid at Work Qualification
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or equivalent experience
- Good health & safety knowledge
- Excellent organizational, time management, and people skills
