Site Total Facilities Manager
Location: HMP Grendon Springhill - HP18 0TL
Salary: £57,569.74
Contract: Permanent - Full Time Monday‑Friday - 39 hours
We are seeking a dedicated Site Total Facilities Manager to join our team at HMP Grendon Springhill. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of a Category B and Category D prison complex, managing facilities maintenance, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff, visitors and the surrounding community.
Responsibilities
The Site Manager will:
- Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of over 15 staff members, including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators.
- Manage the facilities maintenance programme and ensure all work is completed to high safety and quality standards.
- Prepare and control the budget for the site, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money.
- Operate within the unique operational and security requirements of a prison setting.
- Maintain relationships with external contractors and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Experience of facilities management.
- Experience of managing budgets.
- Experience of managing staff teams of 15+.
- Experience of operating in a Prison or Military environment – Desirable.
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in a facilities/building services trade, or have two years of recognised experience.
- IOSH Qualification – Desirable.
- Good Health & Safety knowledge.
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
