Salary: £46,177.30 including £3,000 additional allowances

Contract: Permanent - Full Time Monday-Friday - 39 hours

We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Grendon Springhill. HMP Grendon is a Category B training prison, while HMP Springhill is a Category D open prison, and they are jointly managed and maintained by the same facilities team.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical and time‑bound services to HMPPS. We are looking for an Electrician with a combination of the following:

  • Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S), e.g., 2367 or 2357.
  • Two years’ experience working in a role as a fully qualified electrician
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
  • Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
