The Cyber and Domains Protection Team provide high quality relevant and actionable vulnerability, incident, threat and dependency information for the protection and resilience of the UKâs Public Sectorâs digital services. We protect public sector domain name spaces such as ".gov.uk", and ensure they remain stable, trusted, well managed and resistant to compromise. The team also helps protect the infrastructure tools and services associated with these domains.
Senior Business Analyst Responsibilities
- Engage with organisations across the public sector to help define and improve cyber security services
- Model current processes, systems, and data around vulnerability management and other cyber security functions in organisations.
- Share and explain your findings with service owners and project teams
- Identify improvements to be made, specifically, and generally, identifying common problems and solutions across multiple organisations
- Describe and recommend appropriate improvements to organisations we work with
- Work with the User Researchers and Services Designer to design and deliver an effective service that meets user needs.
- Work with the other team members to ensure services are monitored in operation and effectiveness measured through KPIs
Person Specification
Weâre interested in people who have:
- experience of successfully analysing business problems across a large number of organisations or business units
- experience of complex modelling across several organisational boundaries and using these models to support solutions
- experience successfully supporting several projects or services simultaneously
- Experience defining and managing business requirements in government cyber security risk environments
- experience of working according to the Service Manual
- experience in agile working practices, adapting to iterative feedback and prioritising tasks based on user and business needs
- experience in testing services delivered by teams of specialists working with client organisations
- experience managing stakeholder relationships across government, public sector or charity sector organisations
- excellent planning and organisational skills
Please note that this role requires SC clearance, which would normally need 5 years' UK residency in the past 5 years. This is not an absolute requirement, but supplementary checks may be needed where individuals have not lived in the UK for that period. This may mean your security clearance (and therefore your appointment) will take longer or, in some cases, not be possible.
