Responsibilities
- You’ll support the day‑to‑day operation of HMRC’s cloud platforms, ensuring high levels of reliability, performance and security.
- This includes monitoring systems, resolving incidents, improving platform performance, and driving automation to reduce manual effort.
- You’ll also work closely with engineering teams to maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement Infrastructure as Code, and ensure platforms meet security and compliance standards.
- You’ll help standardise processes, improve resilience, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement across platform teams.
Qualifications
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure operations, incident management and root cause analysis
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab)
- Scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash or Go)
- Experience working with Linux systems
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work across teams
