This role sits within HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS), where digital services help people access justice at some of the most important moments in their lives. You'll lead products that support civil courts across England and Wales, influencing services used at scale and helping transform how justice is delivered through digital innovation.
As Head of Product for the Civil Jurisdiction, you'll be the senior product leader across a portfolio of digital services supporting the civil justice system. You'll define strategy, set direction and ensure products deliver meaningful outcomes, from live services to new digital solutions. You'll lead product teams, shape priorities and make complex decisions on investment and delivery. This role combines strategic leadership with real ownership, guiding services through the full lifecycle while ensuring they remain user-centred, secure and deliver value at scale.
What you'll be doing:
- Define and evolve the product vision and strategy across the civil portfolio
- Own end-to-end product delivery, from discovery to live service and continuous improvement
- Lead and develop senior product teams, building strong capability and consistent practice
- Make complex prioritisation and investment decisions across multiple products
- Translate policy and user needs into clear, outcome-focused roadmaps
