DSIT is looking for a Digital Content Producer to create bold, engaging visuals that bring science and technology stories to life and show how they make a difference to people across the UK.

About the role

You'll join the Digital Communications team and help shape the department's visual identity across social media and digital campaigns. From standout graphics to motion content, you'll create high-quality design that supports major government priorities and helps communicate complex ideas in a clear, creative and engaging way. This is a great opportunity for a designer with strong digital skills and a flair for visual storytelling to work on high-profile campaigns, influence creative direction, and produce content seen by a wide public audience.

What you'll be doing

  • Creating eye-catching digital content for social media and campaigns
  • Designing graphics and motion content that bring science and technology stories to life
  • Helping shape and maintain DSIT's visual identity and branding
  • Working with stakeholders to deliver high-quality creative content
  • Supporting cross-government campaigns with strong digital design
  • Producing clear, engaging visuals for both specialist and public audiences
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Contributing to design best practice across the digital communications team

What we're looking for

  • Strong experience in graphic design, with some motion graphics or animation skills
  • A portfolio showing digital-first creative work across different platforms
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere Pro)
  • A strong eye for layout, typography and design consistency
  • Ability to turn complex ideas into clear, visually engaging content
  • Good project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A creative mindset and enthusiasm for innovation, storytelling and design
