HMRC supports over 50 million customers and funds UK public services - and this role helps power the data that makes it all work. You'll be helping teams deliver analytics and machine learning solutions that have real operational impact across the UK.

What you'll be doing

  • You'll work closely with data scientists and engineers to improve HMRC's data analytics platform, helping teams access, transform and use data more effectively.
  • This includes onboarding new data sources, managing data transformations, supporting R/Python applications and APIs, and ensuring data is secure and compliant.

What we're looking for

  • Can code in Python, R, SQL or SAS and take solutions from prototype to production.
  • Are confident working with data pipelines, transformations and integrations.
  • Can collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Have experience working across teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Are keen to learn, develop and support others.
