Salary: £72,000 - £79,200 + GCO Pension, GCO Terms. Up to 15% performance-related pay available on accreditation.

Locations: Glasgow G2 8EX, Andover SP11 8HJ, Whittington (Lichfield) WS14 9TJ and Wyton PE28 2EA. Regular travel between the locations stated above and other MOD locations will be required.

Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) provides the infrastructure which supports the ability for this country’s Defence operation to live, work and train in the UK and abroad. Our teams play a key role in delivering the UK’s Defence objectives and are responsible for a land mass which represents 2% of the entire UK.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial professional to help shape the future of Defence Infrastructure. The right candidate will be interested in empowering a Commercial team to deliver great supply chains across the Estate. Our commercial teams manage approximately 300 contracts at any one time with a total value of £25BN+.

DIO Commercial manages a number of Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts on behalf of the Front Line Commands. Many of these contracts expire in the next few years and cannot be extended, making this a critical moment to design and deliver their replacements. DIO are looking for the role holder to provide operational leadership to the team overseeing these replacements.

You will be accountable for the planning, procurement and contracting of complex arrangements, with specific emphasis on hard and soft FM, ancillary services and construction. The role will engage with and seek to elicit support from a number of stakeholders, including Front Line Commands, DIO project delivery teams, other Government departments and wider industry and supply chain partners.
