The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

The post holder will support the delivery of assurance of grant and commercial transactions above £10m, including new grants, contracts, and variations for DESNZ and DSIT.

The role may also involve the assurance of commercial cases for our partner organisation (arms’ length bodies). Applying effective insight alongside proactive engagement with stakeholders will be required to advise teams on how to develop robust business cases, providing challenge where required and identifying areas for improvement. This role is critical to ensuring that robust, defensible commercial and investment decisions can be made.

The post will form part of a small Assurance Team led by the Head of Commercial Assurance with 4 G7 Commercial Assurance Leads and 1 Higher Executive Officer. There is significant opportunity to be involved in a wide range of highly varied projects and programmes, to take the lead in supporting stakeholders with governance, to challenge commercial strategy, and encourage innovation and build networks across DESNZ and DSIT.

We are looking for an individual who has strong grant and commercial acumen including experience across the full commercial lifecycle, who is able to cut through complex issues, has an eye for detail and who can challenge senior stakeholders. Previous experience of designing and administering grants is preferred.

Locations
The successful candidate(s) will be able to agree a contractual workplace from those locations listed in this advert. When selecting your location listed in this job advert, please be aware that this will be your contractual base location with a requirement to spend a minimum of 60% of your working time in this organisational workplace.

Your time spent on official duties at workplace locations other than your contractual office such as supplier, customer or partner locations required to perform your role is included in the 60% attendance.

This requirement will, however, take into consideration any reasonable adjustments agreed upon appointment for people with a disability, flexibilities agreed for those with specific caring responsibilities, or other similar temporary flexibilities.
