The Governing Body of Cadle Primary School wish to appoint a committed and experienced Wellbeing Officer to support the social, emotional and mental health needs of pupils across the school. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Headteacher and senior leaders to provide targeted support for pupils, contribute to inclusive practice, and help remove barriers to learning by promoting positive wellbeing and engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted pastoral and wellbeing support for identified pupils through individual and small group provision.
  • Deliver structured intervention programmes to support emotional regulation, resilience, social skills and wellbeing.
  • Undertake wellbeing assessments and screening activities to identify pupil needs and inform planning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions, maintaining accurate records and contributing to reports as required.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs within the classroom and wider school environment.
  • Contribute to the early identification of concerns and support the implementation of appropriate strategies.
  • Liaise with parents/carers to support pupils' wellbeing and engagement with school.
  • Work in partnership with relevant external agencies and services where appropriate.
  • Support whole‑school approaches to wellbeing, inclusion and positive behaviour.
  • Contribute to safeguarding procedures in line with school and local authority policy.
