The Governing Body of Cwmfelin Primary School invites applications for the Deputy Headteacher position. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher to lead and inspire the school community and further develop our vision of being "Eager to learn, proud to achieve."

Key Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role in the strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of the school, contributing to a caring and inclusive environment.
  • Develop outstanding curriculum provision across the school.
  • Support staff and pupils in achieving their full potential through partnership with pupils, staff, parents, governors, the Inclusion Service, external agencies, and the local community.
  • Protect children, young people and adults at risk as a core responsibility.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Highly motivated, experienced classroom practitioner or school leader with proven leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Management experience and the ability to lead and develop curriculum.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to greet customers in Welsh.
  • Completion of an Enhanced Children's Barred List criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).

Salary

Leadership Scale L(6) – L(10): £59,597 – £65,822 per annum.

Cwmfelin Primary School is situated in the Llynfi Valley, serving a wide catchment area and hosting approximately 200 children on roll.
