The successful candidate will be a flexible member of a team of two teaching assistants and three SEN teachers. Experience across the curriculum EYFS - Year 6 would be an advantage as the teaching assistant will also support language unit pupils throughout school on an afternoon. The post is a permanent part-time position: 29.25hrs per week (4.5 days) at Grade D Term Time only plus 5 PD Days Salary Scale Grade D Point 8 - 11.
The Speech and Language Unit provides provision for pupils on a full-time and part-time basis. It consists of:
- Foundation Stage 4 places part-time support base
- KS2 10 places full-time support base
- KS1 10 places full-time support base
- Outreach Provision 10 places
Children are fully integrated with support on an afternoon into mainstream classes at Overfields Primary School.
