We are recruiting a Caretaker for Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Allta Primary School, a Welsh medium community school in Ystrad Mynach. The role requires a commitment to maintenance, security, and a clean, orderly environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, a hard-working team player, and able to conduct health and safety work, DIY maintenance, and cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the school building and grounds safely;
  • Conduct and record periodic health and safety checks;
  • Perform maintenance and DIY tasks as required;
  • Carry out cleaning duties;
  • Support school staff and students with a clean and supportive environment;
  • Maintain security of the site;
  • Build strong professional relationships with staff and children.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Cleaning and support services NVQ Level 1, or equivalent experience or qualification, or willingness to train;
  • Aware of health and hygiene procedures;
  • Handyperson experience;
  • Welsh language is not essential.
