The Governing Body of the Garw Valley Federation wishes to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring teacher who is committed to making a positive difference across our federation schools. This post will be based initially at Ffaldau Primary School for a period of one year.

We are looking for a class teacher who develops highly effective relationships with all members of the school community and demonstrates an unwavering commitment to providing the best possible learning opportunities for all learners across the federation. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent classroom practice and be passionate, ambitious, self-reflective and enthusiastic, contributing to our happy, successful and inclusive school community.

They will be committed to engaging with families and contributing to our strong approach to family and community engagement. They will provide learners with inspiring experiences that support them to become independent, curious, reflective, cooperative and resilient individuals.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Garw Valley Federation to plan and deliver exciting learning opportunities for pupils, support effective assessment practices and engage in joint professional learning to continually develop their practice. The successful candidate will benefit from high-quality professional learning and development opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving and supportive team of staff, leaders and governors at Ffaldau Primary School and within the Garw Valley Federation. Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An enhanced with Children’s Barred List criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post. Temporary: up to 1 year.
