We are currently involved in the Dfe's School's Rebuilding Programme and are very excited at the prospect of being in a state of the art building due for completion in Summer 2027. Recently qualified and potential ECTs are also encouraged to apply, stating their curriculum strengths on their application form.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, passionate and aspirational teacher who is committed to innovative teaching and able to work as part of our team. The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher, highly enthusiastic about teaching and learning, strive for continual improvement and have high standards for themselves and the children.
In addition, the Governing Body has formally voted to transition Lydiate Primary and Nursery School to academy status, with the intention of joining Southport Learning Trust. This marks an important next step in securing long‑term sustainability, collaboration and opportunity for our pupils, staff and wider community.
Key requirements:- An excellent understanding and thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum.

- An outstanding teacher who can plan and resource a learning environment that inspires and creates a sustained interest from the children and challenges thinking.
