The Head Teacher and Governing Body of Tudhoe Moor Nursery School wish to appoint a confident, enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join our Early Years Team. This post is permanent.
The position is to work alongside pupils in our brand new baby room for pupils aged 9 months old to 2 years old. The position is full time working from 7.45am until 3.15pm and until 5.00pm on Wednesdays. The position is for all year round with all holidays to be taken during school holidays. The candidate must work in our summer holiday club which takes place for the first four weeks of the summer holidays. All other holidays will be off (9 weeks).
We are opening our baby room in January 2026 (earlier if possible) and require a hardworking and dedicated team member to join our team. The successful candidate must have baby room experience.
The successful candidate will be confident and passionate about working with all pupils as well as being a key worker for a group of children. We are an inclusive school therefore experience of working in Early Years with children who have additional needs is essential. They will have a can-do attitude and willingness to help in other areas of the classroom, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Calculation of term time only plus four weeks\\\β pay
Term time only plus four additional weeks\β pay is calculated on the basis of the following:
- Number of \βteaching\β weeks β 38 weeks; plus
- Public (bank) holidays β 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus
- Four additional weeks, inclusive of CPD β 4 weeks; plus
- Individual leave entitlement β 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days)
Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years\β service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years\β service will receive 32 days annual leave. For example:
Calculation for employees with less than 5 years\β service:
42 weeks (term time plus 4) + 27 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 49 weeks\β pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
Calculation for employees with more than 5 years\β service:
42 weeks (term time plus 4) + 32 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 50 weeks\β pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
