Responsibilities
- Open and lock up the school premises daily, including gates, doors, and windows
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and security
- Monitor and maintain health & safety standards across the site
- Carry out basic maintenance and repairs (e.g. changing light bulbs, fixing locks)
- Ensure outdoor areas are safe and tidy (e.g. gritting paths, weeds and clearing debris)
Cleaning role responsibilities
Cleaning role- The range of work carried out by the cleaning staff covers the cleaning of all rooms, toilets, corridors, offices and other such areas. You will be expected to:
- Carry out work to the required standard
- Work cooperatively with the others on the site.
- Comply with the Council\’s health and safety practices.
- Use cleaning equipment and materials in the prescribed manner, ensuring safe usage and storage.
- Complete any required paperwork
- Carry out any other reasonable work instructions.
