  • About Little Big Group

Little Big Group is a family‑run, independent hospitality business, and that feeling runs through all four of our Guernsey hotels:

The Duke, Peninsula, Fleur du Jardin and Les Douvres .

Our venues are places where life happens.

Busy, bustling bars and restaurants full of chatter.

Birthdays, weddings, reunions and Friday‑night catch‑ups.

Families gathering around the table.

Quiet garden corners and peaceful rooms where guests come to switch off.

We want our social channels to feel the same: warm, lively and real.

That means showing the atmosphere, the people and the moments, not just the rooms.

It means celebrating our team, the island we call home, the food and drink we are proud of, and the locals who make our venues their own.

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for someone to be our eyes and ears on the ground across all four hotels.

You will take ownership of our day‑to‑day social channels, capture content, get to know the teams, spot opportunities and keep everything moving.

This is a great opportunity for someone ambitious and creative who wants to build a career in social media. As you grow in the role, there is real scope to develop into a

Social Media Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the Agency and Planning
  • Bring to life the social media strategy set by our appointed marketing agency across each hotel and the group brand.
  • Act as the day‑to‑day link with the agency, feeding back on what is working, sharing insights from the hotels and helping to shape future strategy.
  • Turn the agency's strategy into a monthly content calendar covering rooms, food and drink, events, offers and seasonal campaigns.
  • Work with hotel managers and heads of department to plan content around menus, events and occupancy needs.
  • Content Creation
  • Spend time in each hotel, getting to know the teams and spotting moments, stories and opportunities worth sharing.
  • Shoot, edit and publish photo and video content across Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and Linked In.
  • Capture the atmosphere of events, busy evenings and weekends when the hotels are at their liveliest.
  • Create short‑form video content (Reels and Tik Tok) as a core format, not an afterthought.
  • Maintain a well‑organised, group‑wide library of approved images and video.
  • Influencer Partnerships and Collaborations
  • Identify collaboration opportunities with local creators and businesses, as well as off‑island food and travel creators.
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers and partners.
  • Coordinate influencer visits with hotel teams, from invitation through to content going live.
  • Use influencer platforms to find, manage and track partnerships.
  • Measure the reach and results of each collaboration.
  • Community Management
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages and mentions across all accounts within agreed response times.
  • Pass booking enquiries, complaints and feedback to the appropriate hotel team promptly.
  • Paid Social
  • Support paid social campaigns on Meta and other platforms, working with the agency and within agreed budgets.
  • Supply the content and local insight that makes campaigns work for both off‑island visitors and the local market.
  • Reporting
  • Track performance by hotel and platform, including reach, engagement, follower growth, website clicks and attributable bookings.
  • Report monthly to the Group Managing Director with results, learnings and recommended next steps.
  • Brand and Compliance
  • Protect each hotel's brand standards and tone of voice.
  • Ensure content meets platform rules, advertising standards, copyright requirements and data protection obligations.
  • Manage account access and security across all group social media accounts.

Skills and Experience

We care more about attitude and creativity than years of experience. We would love to hear from you if you are enthusiastic, motivated and ready to make the role your own.

Essential

  • Experience creating social media content, whether professionally, for a business or on personal channels.
  • A creative eye for photography, video and short‑form content, with examples available to showcase.
  • Confident, friendly and comfortable working with people at all levels, from hotel teams to guests and content creators.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated, able to identify opportunities and take initiative.
  • Good written English, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different brands.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities across four hotels while meeting deadlines.
  • Comfortable using editing platforms such as Cap Cut, Lightroom and Canva.

Desirable

  • Experience within hospitality, travel, food or beverage sectors.
  • Experience of influencer partnerships or influencer management platforms.
  • Some experience of paid social advertising or Meta Business Suite.
  • Knowledge of the Guernsey and Channel Islands market.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4).
  • A full driving licence to travel between the four properties.
  • How Success Is Measured

Targets will be agreed within the first three months and will be tailored to each hotel and platform.

Success measures include

  • Growth in engaged followers across each hotel's social media accounts.
  • Achievement of agreed engagement rate benchmarks.
  • Website clicks and direct bookings attributed to social media activity.
  • Number and effectiveness of influencer and creator collaborations.
  • Response times to messages and comments.
  • Consistent posting across all four hotels in line with the agreed content calendar.

What We Offer

  • Salary of

£28,000 - £34,000 per annum, depending on experience.

35 hours per week with flexible working arrangements.

  • Time off in lieu for approved evening and weekend work.
  • Opportunity to progress into a

Social Media Manager role.

  • Creative ownership across four distinctive hotel brands.
  • Staff discounts on accommodation, food and drink across the group.
  • Meals while on duty.
  • The opportunity to work within a close‑knit, family‑run business where your contribution is recognised and valued.
