The Kitchen Assistant is an essential support role in the kitchen.
Duties
- Washing & Sanitising: Cleaning pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, & cooking equipment.
- Kitchen Cleanliness: Wiping down surfaces, sanitising prep stations, scrubbing walls, & sweeping or mopping floors.
- Waste Management: Emptying bins, managing recycling, & clearing out food waste.
- Deliveries & Stock: Supporting, as required in unpacking food & equipment deliveries, rotating stock, & keeping storage areas, walk-in fridges, & freezers organised.
- Basic Food Preparation: Assisting chefs with light tasks like peeling vegetables, washing produce, or portioning simple ingredients under supervision.
Skills
- Hygiene & Safety Awareness: Strict adherence to food safety, COSHH (cleaning chemical safety), & sanitation guidelines.
- Time Management & Speed: Ability to juggle multiple
