Salary: £27,945.35 per annum

Contract: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Highdown, a category C adult male and YOI prison. Join a team that is more than just a group of colleagues - we work Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.

As a Painter and Decorator, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are looking for a Painter and Decorator with a combination of:

  • Previous painting and decorating experience
  • Competency in the use and operation of all associated power tools and machinery
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
  • Knowledge of routine preventive maintenance
  • A City & Guilds, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Painting and Decorating or an equivalent qualification or substantial experience
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
