We are seeking a motivated and practically minded Handy Person to join our team as an Escort / Fabric Operative at HMP East Sutton Park, a busy category C, Female prison. HMP East Sutton Park is like a self-contained city; everything we do as the Facilities Maintenance Team directly supports the safety and wellbeing of prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community. As an Escort / Fabric Operative, you will play an active role in the day-to-day maintenance of the site, working alongside a diverse group of skilled colleagues including electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, cleaners, engineers and administrators.

This role is perfect for someone who brings strong practical ability and enjoys varied, hands-on work, whether that's using tools, completing basic repairs, or supporting our engineering colleagues. We are looking for an Escort / Fabric Operative with a combination of:

• Experience using hand and power tools
• Practical experience within a building fabric or Hard FM environment
• Understanding of safe working practices and good Health & Safety awareness
• Strong organisational and people skills
• A Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (desirable)
• First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
• Experience of a prison environment (desirable)
