Contract: Permanent - Full Time Monday-Friday - 39 hours

We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Grendon Springhill. HMP Grendon is a Category B training prison, while HMP Springhill is a Category D open prison, and they are jointly managed and maintained by the same facilities team.

As an Electrician, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, other Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for an Electrician with a combination of:

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S).
  • Two years' experience working in a role as a fully qualified electrician.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
  • Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations.

Holidays are 25 days per year plus.
