Salary: £30,656.92 per annum

Contract: Permanent - 39hrs per week - Mon-Fri

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Winchester, a Category C, adult male prison.

We are looking for a Painter & Decorator with a combination of:

  • A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and decorating or equivalent (or significant experience/time served in a similar role)
  • Experience working in a maintenance team
  • An honest and reliable character, who can approach their work with a sense of purpose and pace
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills

Holidays are 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays, and a range of non-contractual benefits are provided, including Death in Service at 4x salary, access to private GP consultations, and an Employee Assistance Programme that offers counselling and information services for preventative care and to help employees in a crisis.
