Overview: We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Parkhurst, a high‑security adult male prison. The role involves working alongside professionals to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare walls and surfaces for painting.
- Apply paints, varnishes and other finishes.
- Work with maintenance teams on painting projects.
- Maintain paint supplies and tools.
- Ensure health and safety standards are met.
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in a maintenance team.
- Honest and reliable character.
- Good health and safety knowledge.
- Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills.
