Contract: Fixed term contract for 12 months

Hours: Full Time, 39 hours - Monday-Friday

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Interface Lead to join our team at HMP Channings Wood, a category C Male prison. Join a team that is more than just a group of colleagues - we work Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.

HMP Channings Wood runs like a self-contained city, it takes hundreds of people to keep it functioning, and as the Facilities Maintenance Team we are committed and driving the smooth and safe operation. Everything we do impacts every prisoner, employee, and visitor, and wider to the families and community.

As a Project Interface Lead you will be the communicator between MOJ project teams, contractors, stakeholders, and GFSL operational maintenance teams, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and resolution of interface issues to support successful project delivery of considerable expansion works. You will facilitate collaboration across all parties, manage site-based project interfaces, mitigate operational risks, and ensure continuity between project implementation and business-as-usual maintenance activities. The role will also provide operational support to GFSL Supervisors and Site Managers to enable informed decision-making and smooth project handover.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Project Interface Lead with a combination of:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and schedules
  • IOSH certification
  • SMSTS certification
  • Experience working within a similar role in a prison environment is also desirable
