Location: HMP Highpoint (Based CB8 9YG) & HMP Chelmsford (CM26LQ)

Salary: £48,412.56

Contract: Fixed term contract for 12 months

Hours: Full Time, 39 hours - Monday-Friday

Travel: Travel between both Sites Required.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Interface Lead to join our team at HMP Highpoint & HMP Chelmsford, a category C adult male prison. Join a team that is more than just a group of colleagues - we work Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.

As a Project Interface Lead you will be the communicator between MOJ project teams, contractors, stakeholders, and GFSL operational maintenance teams, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and resolution of interface issues to support successful project delivery of considerable expansion works. You will facilitate collaboration across all parties, manage site-based project interfaces, mitigate operational risks, and ensure continuity between project implementation and business-as-usual maintenance activities. The role will also provide operational support to GFSL Supervisors and Site Managers to enable informed decision-making and smooth project handover.

We are looking for a Project Interface Lead with a combination of:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and schedules
  • IOSH certification
  • SMSTS certification
  • Experience working within a similar role in a prison environment is also desirable

Future Plans. GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
