Job Role: Electrician
Location: HMP Bullingdon OX25
Salary: Β£46,177.30 with an additional 5% basic salary in recognition of shift and weekend work.
Contract: Full Time β Perm (39hrs per week β shift work mon to sun)

The Facilities Maintenance Team supports the smooth and safe operation, ensuring all activities positively impact prisoners, staff, visitors, families and the wider community. As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced colleagues who include Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Responsibilities
Within the Facilities Maintenance Team, support the safe and secure operation of electrical systems and installations at HMP Bullingdon. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary colleagues to ensure reliable electrical services and contribute to a safe environment for prisoners, staff and visitors. Help maintain and repair electrical systems to appropriate standards and regulations while prioritising safety and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Two years\β experience working in a role as an electrician
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
- Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
- Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
- 18th Edition
- Certificate in BS7671
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
