Summary
We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Erlestoke, a Category C adult‑male prison. Join a team that works Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, creating a safe and nurturing environment.
HMP Erlestoke as a self‑contained city, requiring a large workforce to keep it operating smoothly. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will help maintain the prison’s safe and secure environment, working alongside plumbers, carpenters, painters, cleaners and administrators.

Qualifications
- Two years’ experience as an electrician
- Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems
- Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
- Electrical installation qualifications C&G 2367 or 2357 and NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Certificate in BS7671 2018 (18th edition)
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills
