Overview Job Role: ElectricianLocation: HMP The Mount – Bovingdon, Hemel Hempstead HP3 0NZSalary: £39,579.20 – £43,177.30 plus £1,000 in RRA per annum and 5% shift allowanceContract: Full time / Permanent – x2 positions availableWe are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team at HMP The Mount, a category C and Adult/Male prison. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will help drive the smooth and safe operation of the site and contribute to a safe environment for prisoners, staff, and visitors.We are a Ministry Of Justice business providing critical and time-bound services to HMPPS. Join a team that is committed to rehabilitation and positive change.Responsibilities As an Electrician, you will:Work alongside experienced colleagues in a multi-discipline team (Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators, etc.)Contribute to planned preventive maintenance operations and ensure electrical systems are safe and compliantSupport the operation and safety of the facility to promote a secure environmentQualifications Two years\’ experience in a role as an electricianExperience working on commercial or industrial electrical systemsGood working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operationsElectrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent18th EditionCertificate in BS7671Good Health & Safety knowledgeExcellent organisational, time management and people skillsBenefits & Additional Information Holidays are 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays, with a range of non-contractual benefits including Death in Service at 4x salary, access to private GP consultations, and an Employee Assistance Programme that offers counselling and information services.
