Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Woodhill, a high‑security adult‑male prison. The role involves working Monday‑Friday in a supportive and driven environment, helping maintain a safe and secure facility for prisoners, staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain prison areas and associated facilities according to established standards and guidelines.
- Follow COSHH and relevant health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance staff, including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters and administrators, to support overall facility operations.
- Organise work, prioritise tasks and maintain logs of cleaning activities.
Qualifications
- Experience of working within a cleaning environment.
- Knowledge of COSHH and relevant health and safety requirements.
- Excellent organisational, time‑management and interpersonal skills.
