Role: Painter and Decorator at HMP Portland, a category C adult male and YOI prison. Join a Facilities Maintenance Team dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Working as part of the Facilities Maintenance Team to support the safe and smooth operation of HMP Portland.
- Collaborating with colleagues across trades to complete painting and decorating tasks that contribute to a safe, secure and clean environment for all inmates, staff and visitors.
Qualifications:
- A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent, or significant experience/time served in a similar role.
- Experience working in a maintenance team.
- An honest and reliable character with a sense of purpose and pace.
- Good Health & Safety knowledge.
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
