We are seeking a dedicated Carpenter inc Locksmith to join our team at HMP Standford Hill, a CAT D men's prison. Join a supportive team working Monday to Friday to maintain a safe and secure environment. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including plumbers, electricians, and other trades, contributing to the safe operation of the prison and supporting rehabilitation efforts.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing carpentry and locksmith duties as required.
- Using and maintaining power tools and machinery safely.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Competency with power tools and machinery.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or equivalent.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
