Position: Carpenter / Locksmith
Location: HMP Erlestoke, Erlestoke House, Devizes, SN10 5TU
Salary: £37,870.30 per annum
Contract: Permanent – 39hrs per week – Mon‑Fri
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Carpenter inc Locksmith to join our team at HMP Erlestoke, a Category C adult male prison.
You will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues from various trades, using carpentry and locksmith skills to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Substantiated experience in a similar role
- Be able to display competency in the use and operation of all associated power tools and machinery
- Basic IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
- Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
- City & Guilds, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification or substantial experience
- Good Health & Safety knowledge.
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
