Contract: Permanent - Full Time Monday-Friday - 39 hours
We are seeking a dedicated Site Total Facilities Manager to join our team at HMP Grendon Springhill. HMP Grendon is a Category B training prison, while HMP Springhill is a Category D open prison, and they are jointly managed and maintained by the same facilities team.
Responsibilities
- The role involves overseeing the facilities maintenance team, managing budgets, and ensuring safety and operational efficiency across the joint site.
- You will work closely with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, cleaning and administrative staff to deliver a safe, secure and well‑maintained environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.
Qualifications
- Experience of facilities management
- Experience of managing budgets
- Experience of managing staff teams of 15+
- Experience of operating in a Prison or Military environment – Desirable
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in a facilities / building services trade, or have two years of recognised experience
- IOSH Qualification – Desirable
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
