We are seeking a dedicated General Supervisor to join our team at HMP Ford, an open adult male prison. Join a team that is more than just a group of colleagues – we work Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.
HMP Ford runs like a self-contained town; it takes hundreds of people to keep it functioning. As the Facilities Maintenance Team, we are committed to driving the smooth and safe operation, impacting every prisoner, employee, visitor, and the wider community.
As a General Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues, including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.
Qualifications:- Previous recognised experience and supervisory skills in the facilities management service
- Experience of compliance
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
- Relevant professional qualifications (facilities management / project management)
- Good health & safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
Holidays are 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays, and a range of non‑contractual benefits are provided.
