We are seeking a practical and confident Handyperson/Maintenance Operative to join our team at HMP Wayland, a Category C & Adult/male prison as an Escort/Fabric Operative. As an Escort/Fabric Operative, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues, including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are looking for an experienced Handyperson to join us as an Escort/Fabric Operative with a combination of:
- Experience of prison environment (Desirable)
- Experience of use of hand and power tools
- Previous experience of working within a building fabric/Hard FM environment
- Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
