Electrician in Woking

Location: HMP Coldingley, Shaftesbury Rd, Bisley, Woking GU24 9EX

Salary: £43,177.30 per annum + £3k per annum RRA

Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 39 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Electrician to join our team at HMP Coldingley, a category C adult male prison. As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe, secure environment for all. Qualifications:

• Two years' experience working as an electrician.
• Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems.
• Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations.
• Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• 18th Edition.
• Certificate in BS7671.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Future plans:

GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL’s services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
