Salary: £43,177.30 per annum with an additional £3,000 per annum in allowances and 5% basic salary for shift and weekend working

Contract: Full Time / Permanent (39 hours per week)

We are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A male prison. Join a team that is more than just a group of colleagues – we work Monday to Sunday in a supportive and driven family to create a safe and nurturing environment.

As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners and Administrators to make a positive difference and provide a safe and secure environment for all.

Qualifications:

  • Two years' experience working in an electrician role
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
  • Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
  • Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Certificate in BS7671
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills

GFSL has been notified that the provision of FM services will in future be delivered by the private sector. Following a successful procurement process, GFSL’s services will be transferred to a private sector provider no sooner than August 2027.
