We are seeking a Security Systems Engineer to join our team at HMP Woodhill, a High Security and Adult/Male prison. Join a team that is more than just a group of colleagues – we work Monday to Sunday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.
As a SOTM Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.
We are looking for a Security Systems Electrical Engineer with the following qualifications:
- C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or a national Certificate in Electrical and Electronic engineering or equivalent
- Experience and knowledge of maintaining and installing systems such as: CCTV, Fire, PIDS, Electric Locking, Access control, Biometrics, Tamper Alarms, Equipment related UPS, Heart Beat System, Key Tagging, Night Pegging, X-Ray Equipment, Traka key management system, Cell Call System and General Alarms
- A certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition)
- BTEC Level 3 or above CCTV Maintenance qualification
- BTEC Level 3 Fire Alarm Maintenance qualification
- BTEC Level 3 Advanced CCTV Networking qualification
- Very good technical problem-solving skills
