We are seeking a dedicated Plumber / Mechanical Engineer (Level 2) to join our team at HMP Maidstone, a Category C & Male prison. HMP Maidstone runs like a self‑contained town; the Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to driving smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, families, and the wider community. As a Plumber / Mechanical Engineer you will work alongside experienced colleagues from plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, cleaning, and administrative teams, all dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform plumbing and mechanical engineering duties as required.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain and improve facility operations.
- Support safe and efficient work across the prison environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 certificate in a mechanical or plumbing discipline or equivalent.
- Good Health & Safety knowledge.
