We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for an Electrician with any combination of:
- Two years' experience working in a role as an electrician
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
- Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
- Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
- 18th Edition
- Certificate in BS7671
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
We are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A male prison. We work Monday to Sunday as a supportive and driven team to create a safe and nurturing environment. HMP Belmarsh runs like a self-contained city, and as the Facilities Maintenance Team we are committed to driving the smooth and safe operation, with all work impacting prisoners, staff, and visitors, and wider families and the community. As an Electrician, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators, and others who are dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.
Holidays are 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays, and a range of non-contractual benefits are provided.
