We have an amazing opportunity for a FTC Central Engineering Planning & Administration Lead position based within our Engineering function and reporting to the Head of Engineering Operations. You will lead the coordination and optimization of our engineering activities. This is a pivotal role designed to bridge the gap between technical maintenance and operational efficiency, ensuring our systems remain reliable and our service delivery stays top-tier.
You will act as a central pillar for the team, driving performance visibility and accountability through data-led decision-making. Success in this role means establishing seamless workflows for maintenance planning, contractor management, and financial administration, directly impacting our ability to innovate and maintain high standards across all sites.
Core Responsibilities- Coordinate and optimize maintenance planning and tracking across current and future systems
- Schedule service visits, support site inductions, and manage contractor relationships
- Monitor engineering downtime and maintain a prioritized issue list to minimize disruptions
- Track and support site performance against key performance indicators and objectives
- Manage purchase orders, financial tracking, and supplier liaison to ensure smooth fiscal operations
- Implement Health & Safety compliance and statutory administration standards
- Administer, develop, and deliver training on standard operating procedures
- Support engineering audits to maintain high governance standards
- Report on project progress and facilitate project meetings to ensure timely execution
- Maintain action trackers to drive accountability across cross-site engineering initiatives
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledgeable in using computerized systems for purchasing, services, and parts ordering
- Familiar with procurement processes and managing supplier or contract queries
- Experienced in operating within an FMCG or comparable fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Google Workspace and MS Office, specifically managing data in sheets or Excel
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Analytical thinker capable of using data to assess and diagnose business performance
- Adaptable and resilient when working under pressure
- Committed to learning and growth, with a proactive approach to further training
- Flexible to travel between sites as required to support engineering programs
- Awareness of Permits to Work, COSHH, and CMMS
