Based within our Brand/Marketing function and reporting directly to the PR Manager, this role is a central component of Gousto's communications engine. You will join a fast-moving, in-house environment with a lean team, working cross-functionally to support our fast-growing brand footprint.
As our PR Executive, you will own and manage Gousto's day-to-day press office, serving as the first point of contact for all inbound media requests from the consumer, food, and lifestyle press. This highly executional role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with external agencies and internal teams alike to deliver impactful campaigns.
Core Responsibilities:- Manage day-to-day press office operations, triaging inbound media requests and responding in a timely, on-brand way
- Write press releases, media statements, and supporting materials for new product launches, product news, and always-on press office moments
- Pitch proactive stories and news moments to consumer, food, lifestyle and relevant trade media, building genuine journalist relationships in the process
- Maintain and grow Gousto's media lists, keeping journalist contacts, outlet details, and coverage records up to date
- Coordinate media samples and journalist boxes, liaising with food and product teams to organise send-outs for product launches, reviews, and seasonal moments
- Draft holding lines and reactive statements for routine media enquiries, with sign-off from the PR Manager
- Manage digital PR link-building activity day-to-day, working alongside the SEO team and agency to identify, pitch, and track link opportunities
- Act as day-to-day contact for delegated agency workstreams, chasing deliverables and keeping projects on track
- Build and maintain PR coverage trackers and contribute to monthly reporting for senior stakeholders
- PR experience, either agency or in-house, with a track record in consumer or brand PR
- Confident and compelling press release writer, able to work from a brief with minimal hand-holding and produce clean, publishable copy
- Established or buildable media contacts across consumer, food, and lifestyle press
- Strong pitching skills, remaining comfortable picking up the phone or crafting a targeted email pitch that generates coverage
- Working knowledge of digital PR and SEO best practices, including link building and content mapping
- Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple live workstreams, inbound requests, and trackers simultaneously
- Confident, proactive communicator who can represent the Gousto brand professionally in routine media interactions
- Comfortable working at pace in a fast-moving, in-house environment with a lean team and shifting priorities
- Experience of or appetite for FMCG, food, or consumer brand PR, with energy for a business operating at the intersection of food, tech, and sustainability
- Collaborative team player who can take direction clearly but also uses initiative when needed
