In this role, you will own the commercial performance of Gousto’s key customer growth levers across the post-signup journey, with a primary focus on retention, reactivation and long-term customer lifetime value. You will set and evolve clear, outcome-led growth strategies across areas such as Winback, Refer-a-Friend (RAF), Loyalty/Gamification and Non-subscriber activation, prioritising initiatives based on commercial impact, ROI and customer value.
You will act as the senior Growth representative within the Activate Tribe Management Team, shaping priorities and decision-making to ensure strong alignment between Growth, Product, Analytics, Finance and Trading. You will lead, coach and develop a team of 2 Growth / Senior Growth Managers, setting clear direction, leading through change and building strong accountability for outcomes and delivery.
Core Responsibilities
- Set, prioritise and evolve growth initiatives across areas of ownership, ensuring focus is placed on the highest-impact opportunities based on commercial value, customer outcomes and business objectives.
- Own performance across areas of responsibility, including forecasting, trading inputs and clear reporting into weekly and monthly trading forums, with accountability for outcomes and corrective actions.
- Work in close partnership with Product to shape roadmaps and deliver against shared OKRs, operating as one team across Growth and Activate to drive outcomes across the post-signup customer journey.
- Partner with Data Science to shape and optimise customer-led discount and incentive strategies, balancing short-term performance with long-term retention and customer value.
- Collaborate closely with Go-To-Market teams to identify and target customers based on key mindset moments and behavioural signals across the customer lifecycle.
- Work hand-in-hand with Analytics to lead deep performance dives, identifying drivers of over- and under-performance and translating insight into prioritised, actionable plans.
- Build and own robust financial models in partnership with Commercial Finance, covering forecasting, scenario planning and post-test evaluation to inform investment decisions and trade-offs.
- Continuously identify and test opportunities to improve customer experience, efficiency and long-term value, embedding learning and iteration into growth strategies and roadmaps.
- Lead, coach and develop Growth Managers and Senior Growth Managers, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback and ensuring accountability for delivery and impact.
Who You Are
- Strong general marketing capability, with a deep understanding of how channels and tactics connect across the post-signup customer journey to drive retention and long-term value.
- Proven commercial acumen, with the ability to build, challenge and interpret financial models, forecast performance, size opportunities and assess ROI to inform prioritisation and decision-making.
- Experience delivering growth in a fast-paced, scale-up or consumer-led environment, with comfort balancing pace, quality and commercial outcomes.
- Ability to lead through others, combining strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving and clear accountability for results delivered through teams.
- High confidence using data and insight to diagnose issues, understand performance drivers, prioritise opportunities and drive fast, actionable decisions.
- Strong cross-functional influencing skills, particularly with Product, Data Science, Analytics, Finance and Trading, shaping outcomes without direct mandate.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with a bias towards action, learning and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms used to deliver customer communications (e.g. Braze); deep technical expertise not required, but understanding of how CRM is used to execute and optimise customer strategies is important.
