Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Food Technical Administrator to join our Recipe Technical team within our Food Technical department for a 12-month fixed term contract.
This team ensures that every weekly menu meets food safety compliance, prevents critical errors, and aligns with Gousto\’s style before recipe cards go to print.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, detail-focused individual who enjoys structured tasks and is passionate about food safety and quality. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for reviewing and updating recipes within our recipe library while supporting continuous improvements in nutrition and food safety.
This role is available from our Warrington Office on a hybrid basis (1 or 2 days a week)
Core Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and updating recipes to ensure accuracy, food safety compliance, and adherence to Gousto\’s brand standards
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies in recipes by working closely with teams such as Recipe Development, Menu Planning, and Supply Chain
- Managing and maintaining Gousto\’s recipe library, ensuring all information is current, accurate, and aligned with food safety standards
- Approving ingredient substitutions while maintaining recipe integrity and providing necessary updates to Customer Care for clear communication with customers
- Ensuring cooking instructions comply with food safety regulations and align with Gousto\’s tone of voice
- Conducting thorough food safety checks, including preparation methods, dietary requirements, and allergen compliance
- Monitoring and addressing customer and internal feedback regarding food safety concerns and quality issues
- Carrying out root cause analyses (RCAs) to identify and prevent errors, supporting continuous improvement efforts
- Assisting in cross-functional initiatives that enhance food safety, sustainability, and customer health
- Engaging in professional development opportunities to expand knowledge in food technology and safety

Qualifications
Nice to Have:

- Educated to HND/HNC level in a food-related subject
